We are back from Skopje. In more than one week there, we’ve managed to meet a lot of people, taste local cevapi, write tons of stories, feel melancholic, party till morning and even find a new member for our Cevapi Club! Read more
Our day two in Skopje ended with a mix of rakija and ouzo and with our Macedonian friends celebrating the first three resignations in PM Gruevski’s crew: Sasho Mijalkov, Gordana Jankuloska and Mile Janakieski left the team. Isn’t this a starting point for a change?
Part of the Cevapi Club is now in Skopje in Macedonia, covering the protests against Nikola Gruevksi’s conservative regime. Since May the 5th, thousands of people are gathering every day at 6PM in front of government’s building asking the PM Gruevski to step back. (See the picture here below).
Cevapi Club is a collective of international journalists based in the Balkans, with a fresh perspective on regional news. Our homemade reports are delivered to radios, newspapers, TVs and magazines throughout Europe. Ćevapi, a local dish, is the tasty link between all ex-Yugoslavian countries and the aroma that accompanies our stories.
